“So insulting!” Star of the new “Ghostbusters” upset because of the announcement of the sequel

About a week ago, director Jason Reitman announced plans to shoot a new film in the universe of Ghostbusters. The picture should be a sequel to the fiction of 1984 and will not be related to the “female version”. The performer of one of the roles was noticeably upset after learning about the Reitman project, which she told on Twitter.

“It’s a shame. We seem to be raped. We are not taken into account, ”the star writes. Leslie Jones mimics the audience, which, in her opinion, does not want to see women as ghostbusters.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reitman intends to assemble a team of teenagers for the main roles – two guys and two girls. In addition, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson from the original tape may appear in the film (their cameo was also in 2016 Ghostbusters).

The sequel to the restart was originally planned, but it failed at the box office: the 2016 film received low ratings from critics and viewers, collecting a cash desk of $ 229 million with a production budget of $ 144 million
