Full-length sequel “Deadwood” TV series from HBO released 2019 year

The film will begin to shoot more than 12 years after the last episode of the show.

HBO, known for its “Game of Thrones” and “Wild West World”, confirmed that the film, which will be a full-fledged sequel of the series “Deadwood”, will begin in October, and its premiere will be held in the spring of 2019.

The script for the upcoming film will be written by the creator of the original show, David Milch, and the director will be Daniel Minahan, who has shot four episodes of the series. Earlier, the head of HBO, Casey Bluys, said that he had already read the work of Milch and asserted with confidence that production would start in the fall.

The main roles in the film will be played by Ian McShane (“John Wick”, “American Gods” series), Timothy Olyphant (“Diet from Santa Clarita”), Molly Parker (“House of Cards”) and Kim Dickens (“Disappeared”, TV series “ Fear the walking dead “).

The dramatic eponymous show with western elements was published between March 2004 and August 2006. The story told about the “gold rush” that swept the territory of South Dakota in 1876. The action took place around the local settlement and its inhabitants, and the series was characterized by open scenes of violence and the use of profanity.

The show lasted only three seasons on the screens, after which its creators could not agree on one more thing, although HBO did not close the project. This was also due to the fact that the creator did not agree to a smaller number of episodes. At the same time, the authors discussed with the leadership of the channel the potential to make two more films that would complete the story, if they did not agree on the conditions.
