Deadline announced the upcoming appearance of Tony Stark in Black Widow following the Saturn 2019 film award – in which Robert Downey Jr. was recognized as the best actor for his work in Avengers: Final.
Iron Man will be able to appear in Black Widow because her events unfold between the films Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Probably Robert Downey Jr. will not have to act in the film – if the role of Tony Stark is episodic, Marvel can take unused materials from past films.
According to the plot of The Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff will fight Taskmaster, and will also meet her partner, spy Elena Belova.
The main roles in the film were played by Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh (“Solstice”), Rachel Weiss (“Favorite”) and David Harbor (“Very Strange Things”). The director was Kate Shortland, who also directed the Berlin Syndrome.
“Black Widow” will be released in May 2020.
