A rare polka dot zebra was discovered in the Kenyan national reserve by photographers Rahul Sachdev and Anthony Tira. On this reservation of such an unusual cub, zebras are observed for the first time. Experts are inclined to believe that the animal received such an amazing color as a result of melanism. With this phenotype, the color of the animal turns out to be darker compared to other individuals of this species.

The freckled foal was snapped last month by tour guide and photographer Rahul Sachdev, 41. He was featured in a YouTube clip

of the sighting yesterday, where he can be heard saying, “We still have no clue what this baby zebra, slash, whatever, is.”

Experts have bad news. Zebras of such an unusual color rarely survive in African parks: they stand out more clearly from the herd, which at a young age makes them vulnerable to predators.
